Undoubtedly, there are myriad of games that can be played offline, but with so many new and technologically advanced games coming up online, there is an entirely innovative and widespread gaming world that can be explored by gaming enthusiasts. Games such as Forza Motorsport and Halo 2 can be played via Xbox Live. However, to make this possible, all that has to be done is to connect Xbox 360 Elite to the Internet.

An Xbox, broadband Internet connection, Xbox Live Starter Kit, Ethernet cable and a credit card are some of the prerequisites in order to establish this connection between the Xbox 360 Elite and the Internet. There are many ways in which this connection can be established:

1. An Ethernet cable, normally employed for computer networking can be hooked to the broadband modem. Once one side of the Ethernet has been inserted at the backside of the Xbox, the other end of the Ethernet can then be plugged into the modem.
2. Similar to the above step, the user also have a choice to insert the other end of Ethernet inside the router rather than the modem. A direct modem connection is a better option in case the speed of the broadband is quite low that may make the gaming experience even more lagging, because of a shared connection of the PC. A router connect is a preferable move if there are multiple devices that has to be related to the Internet.
3. Sharing of the Internet connection is quite a complex connection. So, it always better to utilize a USB-based DSL modem or one has the internal PCI modem to connect to the Internet.

After connecting all cables, one simply has to power the Xbox, followed by on-screen prompts on the television so as to make a Live account.
